I decided to show more of the quilt in my March 12 post. These towels were plain muslin and had some stains from storage. They had never been used so I suppose the stains were from where the folded edges touched the wood of a drawer. In the corner of each was written “Diana” which may have been the maker’s name or the name of who was to receive them. These little designs are supposed to guide the housewife in her daily tasks. Looks like Sunday is for rest and singing!
