I finished this project quite a while ago, but neglected to post it here.  With the insertion of embroidered blocks on point the ragged top shown in the previous post became a lovely family heirloom.  My client’s mother pieced the small triangles in a pattern known as Ocean Waves or Odds and Ends, prior to her passing in 1958.  The choice of navy cotton for the blocks and off-white for the floss pulls the focus from the not-so-perfect triangles to the family names and birth dates.  The machine quilting is lovely.
