Aside from putting on over 30 patches and repairing over 25 loose seams, below are the two “new” schoolhouses that replaced the damaged ones (see the Nov. 7  post below).  Each house took nearly 5 hours!

My client tells me that this quilt was made at the time of his wife’s birth, in 1935, by her grandmother, in East Tennessee.
