I finished this pair of 18th century gators today.  I am sure Captain Titus will be pleased because he commissioned them back in September!  Navy wool with canvas lining and horn buttons, they are worn over the top of the shoe and covering the lower leg.  The British soldiers wear canvas, but Capt. Titus is with the militia in southwestern Virginia at Martin’s Station.  It feels great to tie up loose ends and complete old projects.
I also hemmed this little piece of linen dyed in Goldenrod flowers; perhaps Olivia will wear it to the Fair at Bledsoe’s Station.
