After an Estate Sale last weekend, i became the proud owner of an old Singer 401A Slantomatic – the same machine i have been using since 7th grade.  I am hoping this one has alot less miles on it than mine.  I have just finished cleaning and oiling it tonight, and it sounds great.  Along with the machine and attachments came these cellophane envelopes with sewn samples.  I was wondering why we did not have these lessons in my house, but i now remember seeing a sticker somewhere on my mother’s machine that it was “repossessed”:  she bought it used.  Its a great model-all metal parts, really a workhorse.  Thought i would show the previous (and probably the only) owner’s lessons and samples.  Perhaps her name was Virginia.  I am grateful to get this machine…
