About this time of year, in 1990, i started a job writing education programs at         The Hermitage, Home of Andrew Jackson  (www.thehermitage.com).  That’s when i began to see that there is a story in everything – even the mundane household objects in our lives.  This jar is new to me, but quite old – see the cross above the words.  It has a crack, so i will have to figure out a way to use it safely.  I could just look at the beautiful glass.  Glass is hard to photograph.  I set out to enter a photo here every day – a disciplined act.  I am finding that i will have to improve my photography skills, even though i have been taking pictures since 1969.
